Penalty for making 4 claims ( awnings tattered by wind, rain, snow) in a 50 plus year period. Homeowner premiums paid to get coverage when house is damaged. Not at fault for wind / rain damage. Told try $500 deductible for $20 less?? ( what??) then if we make claim again, "surcharge "( insulting to call this a surcharge) would be 40 percent!!!!what? Then told most people don't put in claims of $6oo ( really? Everyone can pay that out of pocket? ) for let's say awning s when the roof may blow off? What? Folks, if you have bad weather for several years that causes damage, you are responsible. My parents, good customers for 50 plus years.Increase deductible from $100 to $500 with a measly $20 savings and put in "too many" claims ( awnings not guilty car accidents) over a period of 23 years and get a whopping 40% premium increase. Did not like attitude of staff .
